About Oleastro

Oleastro is a residential real estate development company in Valencia, California, building new California modern homes in the Santa Clarita Valley.

The name

The root you never see is the reason the tree lasts.

Growers graft cultivated olives onto the oleastro’s hardy, deep roots. What grows from it bears the fruit. We build the same way: foundations first, and everything that follows grows from them.

  1. 01 · Scion

The cultivated olive, grafted on. What grows from it bears the fruit.

  2. 02 · Graft

Where the two join and become one tree. Everything above grows from here.

  3. 03 · Grade

The ground line. Everything we build starts below it.

  4. 04 · Rootstock

The oleastro, the wild olive. Hardy, deep, and the reason the tree lasts.

I was seven when my father started taking me to his job sites.

  1. 01 · The job sites

He was a builder and contractor. His work took him from luxury homes worth five to twenty million dollars to landmarks like the Bellagio and the Aladdin in Las Vegas. I remember walking through houses that weren’t finished yet, amazed at how much time, care and pride went into every detail. What stayed with me most was that he worked the same way on every job. It didn’t matter whether it was a small repair for a neighbor or a major project for a whole community.

  2. 02 · The lesson

My father taught me that when you help people, it comes back to you. That wasn’t a business strategy for him; it was how he lived. As a teenager, I helped him grow his contracting business, and somewhere along the way a dream took shape: one day I would build a development company that didn’t just put up buildings, but gave something real back to the places it builds in.

  3. 03 · The way back

Life took me in other directions for a while, as it often does. But the dream never left. Today, here in Southern California, I’ve found my path again. I’m studying Construction Management at College of the Canyons, and I founded Oleastro to build homes the way my father taught me.

  4. 04 · The root

Oleastro is named for the wild olive, the hardy rootstock that growers have grafted onto for generations. Whatever grows from a strong root grows strong too. That’s how we build. We don’t build homes to sell and forget, or homes that can be bulldozed for the next trend. We build for the second owner: homes made with quality, precision and care, that families are proud to live in and proud to pass on.

  5. 05 · The vision

Project One is our first home here. It won’t be our last. Our vision is to build homes, neighborhoods and places across Southern California and beyond that make communities stronger, and that are still standing, and still loved, generations from now.

That’s what it means to be built from the root.
